Shitz Tsu Portrait Commission
If you would like to draw or paint an image of your own dog, you can paint so with confidence from your own dog photo. Please see the “How to” videos on this website that will show you how to shoot a good photo of your own pet and how to transfer the photo to paper for painting. Or, you can contact me for a professional commission using the contact form on the opening page of this website.
Willy is one of the happiest little dogs I have ever met. Always up for a pat, he is a happy bouncing ball of joy. His mom Leslie brought him by to have his photo taken. First she tried to bribe him with treats. When that didn’t work she ended up holding him still. I had to cut her out of the picture after it was taken.
The perfect companion dog, shitz tsu are eager to please and entertain. This dog will fit in any size home, get along well with other pets and are almost always entertaining. Affectionate and friendly, even to strangers, a shitz tsu is not a guard dog. He will not drool as bigger dogs might and will be your loyal companion for from 10-16 years. Daily brushing and regular grooming are required for maintenance. Because of their size, the shitz tsu can make do with one walk or romp around the yard per day.
Treats are your best friend when training a shitz tsu. They are natural watch dogs and will bark when someone approaches the house. However, be sure to include a command for stop barking in your training routine.
