Storm is a loyal and gentle dog who is kept in a large back yard with a tall fence as she can be somewhat of an escape artist if she is separated from her family. When you first see this Malamute you might think she was part wolf with her long legs and sharp nose. Some people would argue that they are, although it is hard to believe there is any wolf in this family dog. She has a joyful and easygoing nature which allows her to bond with every member of the household.

Malamutes were originally bred in Alaska as a sled dog, they are known for their strength, endurance and ability to with stand cold. Although they are the perfect family dog, they must have lots of exercise to get rid of their pent up energies. They can eat astonishing amounts of food, perhaps they are storing up for a trip? That long hair that keeps them warm requires lots of brushing.
